Quiz Bowl

The Floyd County Schools Quiz Bowl for Middle School Gifted students were held on Tuesday, February 10, at Shorter College. AMS came in second in the competition.

The sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students practiced Quiz Bowl strategies in their ELA classes with Mrs. Curry and Ms. Reece. All students in the gifted ELA classes are eligible for the competition team.

In December, after taking a written test, a performance rubric with multiple criteria for Quiz Bowl was used by Mrs. Curry, Mrs. Smith, and Ms. Reece to select the top ten students from each grade level.

Last year's Quiz Bowl team came in First Place in the Floyd County Competition.
